Our Story

DeepCurrent was founded by marine engineers Nadia Strand and Marcus Cho after they lost three weeks of critical Arctic research due to a preventable ROV failure. They realized that no service provider specialized in the nuanced needs of underwater drone fleets.

Starting from a converted boathouse in San Diego, they built a company that now operates from three global facilities, employing over 45 certified marine technicians who have collectively serviced more than 3,400 underwater drones.

Every protocol we follow was developed from real-world failure analysis. We don't just fix drones — we study why they break and engineer solutions to prevent it from happening again.
